Little print for an unique plant that grows in the nothern hemishere: Indian Ghostpipes (Monotropa uniflora)

$25.00

Indian Ghostpipes are pretty wild little plants! They’re completely white and waxy-looking, like tiny ghosts popping up from the forest floor. They look like this because they don’t use chlorophyll like other plants. That means they don’t use photosynthesis but instead they use the fungal network to steal nutrients from nearby trees through their root connections. In traditional medicine they are used to ease physical pain and emotional distress. They are also called “plant of the soul” because of their unique healing properties and mysterious appearance in the deep forest shadows.

All my artwork is handmade and original with a mix of limited and open edition linocut prints plus digitally printed greeting cards. The prints are designed, made, pressed and pulled in my studio in the Laurentides, Canada.

Please note: Because of its handmade nature there may be tiny variations to the picture- be this colour, evenness of ink or other small differences.
