Handmade linocut print

Printed on lokta paper using Caligo oil-based relief ink

Goldenrod (Solidago canadensis) is often brewed as a fragrant tea to support the kidneys and reduce inflammation. I use its golden blossoms in tea blends to help with seasonal allergies, water retention, or simply to enjoy its uplifting, earthy aroma. It’s a bright, sunny herb with a surprisingly balancing effect.

Created using the ‘reduction method,’ this technique involves carving a single lino block in stages to build up layers of color. Here 5 layers have been created.

Reduction Print

Since this plant grows wild in my garden next to another one called Mullein, I printed both plants at the same time and using the same colour scheme. I’m offering them together – as they belong together – at a reduced price.

All my artwork is handmade and original with a mix of limited and open edition linocut prints. The prints are designed, made, pressed and pulled in my studio in the Laurentides, Canada.

Please note: Because of its handmade nature there may be tiny variations to the picture- be this colour, evenness of ink or other small differences.
