Graceful and still, the Great Heron stands as a symbol of patience and quiet strength. With each deliberate step, it teaches the art of presence, how power can exist in calmness, and how beauty can live in simplicity.

Created using the ‘multiblock method,’ this technique involves carving a multible lino blocks to build up layers of color. Here 2 blocks have been used.

The great heron lives in quiet places, in marshes, wetlands, and along slow rivers. It moves slowly and carefully, watching the water. With one quick strike, it catches its prey. It is a silent hunter, strong but calm.

This graceful bird plays an important role in nature. It helps keep fish and small animal populations in balance. Its presence shows that the water and land around it are healthy.

There is something peaceful about the way it stands, patient and still. When it spreads its wide wings and lifts into the air, it reminds us of grace, focus, and the quiet power of nature.

All my artwork is handmade and original with a mix of limited and open edition linocut prints. The prints are designed, made, pressed and pulled in my studio in the Laurentides, Canada.

Please note: Because of its handmade nature there may be tiny variations to the picture – be this colour, evenness of ink or other small differences.
