Impression de r\u00e9duction<\/em><\/p>\n

Maybe it\u2019s the first time since I arrived in Canada that my relationship with winter feels balanced. I don\u2019t cry because it lasts so long. Instead, I see beauty everywhere and enjoy visits from birds like Blue Jays. They remind me that it\u2019s okay to slow down, stay curious, and never stop developing.<\/p>\n

Toutes mes \u0153uvres sont faites \u00e0 la main et originales, avec un m\u00e9lange de linogravures en \u00e9dition limit\u00e9e et en \u00e9dition ouverte. Les gravures sont con\u00e7ues, r\u00e9alis\u00e9es, press\u00e9es et tir\u00e9es dans mon atelier situ\u00e9 dans les Laurentides, au Canada.<\/p>\n

Linogravure imprim\u00e9e \u00e0 la main sur papier artisanal Lokta<\/em><\/p>\n

Pendant que je travaillais sur cette gravure repr\u00e9sentant des tussilages, une amie m\u2019a racont\u00e9 qu\u2019apr\u00e8s le long hiver, quand ces petites fleurs, rayons de soleil, commen\u00e7aient \u00e0 s\u2019\u00e9panouir, elle en cueillait un petit bouquet pour sa m\u00e8re. Cela m\u2019a rappel\u00e9 que je n\u2019avais jamais achet\u00e9 de fleurs \u00e0 ma m\u00e8re. \u00c0 la place, je suis all\u00e9e dans la vall\u00e9e et j\u2019ai choisi chaque fleur moi-m\u00eame, une \u00e0 une, avec soin et amour.<\/p>\n

Le tussilage n'est pas seulement beau avec ses fleurs d'un jaune \u00e9clatant. Au moment du changement de saison, il est \u00e9galement r\u00e9put\u00e9 pour soulager la toux et la bronchite (c'est pourquoi on l'appelle Tussilago<\/em>, du mot latin tussis<\/em>, qui signifie \u00ab tousser \u00bb).<\/p>\n

Cette impression a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9e \u00e0 l'aide de la \u00ab m\u00e9thode de r\u00e9duction \u00bb, une technique qui consiste \u00e0 graver un seul bloc de linol\u00e9um par \u00e9tapes afin de cr\u00e9er plusieurs couches de couleur. Ici, 6 couches ont \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9es. Avec cette technique, une petite partie du bloc d'impression est enlev\u00e9e apr\u00e8s chaque couche de couleur, de sorte qu'une seule \u00e9dition peut \u00eatre imprim\u00e9e. Une fois l'impression \u00e9puis\u00e9e, elle ne sera plus jamais disponible.<\/p>\n

Chaque impression est dessin\u00e9e, grav\u00e9e et imprim\u00e9e \u00e0 la main par moi-m\u00eame dans mon petit atelier dans les Laurentides. En raison de leur fabrication artisanale, de l\u00e9g\u00e8res variations de couleur et d\u2019impression peuvent appara\u00eetre. Ce sont pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment ces petites diff\u00e9rences qui rendent les \u0153uvres imprim\u00e9es \u00e0 la main si sp\u00e9ciales et si belles.<\/p>\n

J\u2019imprime sur du papier Lokta artisanal, et chaque feuille a son caract\u00e8re unique. Cela rend chaque pi\u00e8ce v\u00e9ritablement unique.<\/p>\n
