Pour mon art botanique, j'utilise une technique d'impression tr\u00e8s ancienne. Elle vient de Chine et a \u00e9t\u00e9 invent\u00e9e au VIIe si\u00e8cle. Elle est si particuli\u00e8re qu'elle a r\u00e9volutionn\u00e9 le monde. Elle a consid\u00e9rablement simplifi\u00e9 la fabrication des livres et a ainsi permis de diffuser le savoir aupr\u00e8s d'un plus grand nombre de personnes.

Je grave mon motif dans une plaque de linol\u00e9um ou de bois. Je dois alors retirer avec pr\u00e9caution, \u00e0 l'aide de mon couteau \u00e0 graver, toutes les zones qui doivent rester blanches par la suite. Je travaille en inversion, car l'image n'appara\u00eet qu'une fois imprim\u00e9e, comme avec un tampon. Une fois la plaque d'impression termin\u00e9e, je m\u00e9lange les couleurs choisies et les applique sur la plaque \u00e0 l'aide d'un rouleau. Je transf\u00e8re ensuite mon \u0153uvre sur du papier fait main.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chaque feuille de papier artisanal est diff\u00e9rente d'une autre, et chaque impression manuelle est diff\u00e9rente d'une autre. C'est ce qui rend l'impression au bloc si particuli\u00e8re. Chaque \u0153uvre est une pi\u00e8ce unique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L'ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, non seulement mes tirages ont augment\u00e9, mais aussi les formats de mes impressions. C'est pourquoi j'ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 chercher une alternative qui me faciliterait ce travail d'impression fastidieux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
