Reduction Print<\/em><\/p>\n

Maybe it\u2019s the first time since I arrived in Canada that my relationship with winter feels balanced. I don\u2019t cry because it lasts so long. Instead, I see beauty everywhere and enjoy visits from birds like Blue Jays. They remind me that it\u2019s okay to slow down, stay curious, and never stop developing.<\/p>\n

All my artwork is handmade and original with a mix of limited and open edition linocut prints. I design, carve, press and pull the prints in my studio in the Laurentides, Canada.<\/p>\n

Hand-printed linocut on handmade Lokta paper<\/em><\/p>\n

Winter is for sure not the easiest time of the year. But then there are this little wonders that make it worth it to stay. Like seeing Blue Jays with their beautiful feather dress playing in maple samaras.<\/p>\n

This print was created using the \u2018reduction method,\u2019 this technique involves carving a single lino block in stages to build up layers of color. Here 8 layers have been created. With this technique, a little more is carved away from the printing block after each layer of colour, so that only one edition can be printed. Once the print is sold out, it will never be available again.<\/p>\n

Each print is designed, carved, and hand-printed by me in my small workshop in the Laurentians. Because of it\u2019s handmade nature, slight variations in color and print may occur. These small differences are exactly what make hand-printed works so special and beautiful.<\/p>\n

I print on handmade Lokta paper, and each sheet has its own unique character. This makes every piece truly one of a kind.<\/p>\n
